British Airways from London Heathrow
The London to Sydney route, via Singapore, from Heathrow's Terminal 5 is operated by British Airways’ newest aircraft, the Boeing 777-300ER , which offers the airlines latest onboard cabin design in First, their business class Club World, World Traveller Plus, their premium economy cabin, and World Traveller, their economy cabin. The aircraft also offers the airlines newest in-flight entertainment system, which offers up to 50 per cent more movies and doubles the number of TV and music options. British Airways’ other Singapore service, the BA011 from London and the BA012 from Singapore to London, will continue to be operated using a Boeing 747-400 with the new Airbus A380 gradually being introduced.
British Airways continues to offer connecting services from Singapore, Bangkok and Hong Kong to a variety of cities in Australia. Please note that the initial journey from London Heathrow must be on a British Airways operated service and connecting flights will be on Qantas or Cathay Pacific operated services using a British Airways codeshare. There are also a number of codeshare flights available from Sydney to various destinations in Australia and New Zealand. Stopover are permitted in Singapore and Bangkok, but not Hong Kong.
Regional Connections: Using BA services it is possible to connect with flights from Belfast, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Leeds-Bradford, Manchester and Newcastle,
British Airways are one of the few airlines that offer an Economy seat (World Traveller Plus) with more space, an upgraded seat and in a dedicated cabin. With a premium level of service these seating options are becoming increasingly popular on long haul flights. These seats are available on the daily London to Sydney service and other selected flights.
Once your flight has been ticketed seats can be pre-booked. The cost on long haul flights is from £25 per flight per person (from £50 for Exit Row). Seats can be booked for free 24 hours before departure.

During 2015 British Airways will introduce the ability to pre-order your in-flight meals for all passengers in First Class, Club World & World Traveller Plus travelling from London Heathrow. The service is available online through 'Manage My Booking' from 30 days prior to departure.
