Thai Airways

Thai Airways International is Asia's leading airline, operating out of Bangkok.  In 53 years of service more than 19.6 million passengers have experienced its Royal Orchid Service across 74 destinations in 35 countries with convenient connections to Australia and New Zealand. Wherever it flies, Thai traditions and culture fly with it. Each day, over 10,000 female passengers are presented with an orchid corsage before disembarking. 

Thai from London Heathrow

Thai offers a daily flight from London Heathrow's new Terminal 2 to the exciting city of Bangkok with great connections through Asia and on to Australasia.  All flights are on their new A380 super jumbo.

The following destinations can be reached on connecting flights:
Auckland:  4 flights per week (Flights operate Mon, Tue, Thu, Sat)  
Sydney: 1 flight per day 
Melbourne:  2 flights per day 
Brisbane:  1 flight per day
Perth: 1 flight per day

Star Alliance

Thai International is a member of the Star Alliance which has 28 member airlines (Including Singapore Airlines, Air New Zealand, South African Airways, Lufthansa, Air Canada and United Airlines).  The group operate 4,701 aircraft and 21,900 flights daily to 1328 destinations in 195 countries.  Round the World airfares are available on Star Alliance carriers with 3 to 15 stopovers available in all classes of travel.

Economy Class

Thai has carried out a massive programme to expand and revitalize every aspect of its Economy Class experience, giving passengers even more reasons to make Thai their first choice. New, wider seats of the latest design have been installed in many of the Thai aircraft, with a new interactive Audio Visual On Demand (AVOD) system offering almost unlimited choice of entertainment and information options. An advantage on the A340-600 aircraft is the seating plan of 2-4-2 where many seats are in two's - ideal for coupels.

Royal Silk Class

On board Thai flights Royal Silk (Business) class passenger enjoy segregated cabins, with two-abreast seating. On long-haul flights, newly installed shell seats offer 60 inches (five feet) of stretch-out space, with 170 degrees of recline for sleeping. Each electrically controlled seat is equipped with telephone and laptop power outlet.  The interactive Audio Visual On Demand entertainment system offers literally hundreds of channels, for movies, music, information and games.

Royal First Class

On board, in the privacy of their segregated cabin, the degree of friendly, personal hospitality extended to them by a dedicated cabin crew is exceptional.  The innovation in luxury is the newly installed sleeper seating. Electronically controlled, with 180 degrees of recline and almost seven feet of space in which to stretch out, these seats are truly state-of-the-art.  Each seat is equipped with the interactive Audio Visual On Demand entertainment system, plus in-seat telephone and laptop power outlet.

Airbus A380

Throughout it's history, THAI has created an enviable reputation for the quality of its celebrated Royal Orchid Service as one of Asia’s most admired airlines. The six A380s joining the fleet continue this tradition, but add new dimensions in customers appeal.The décor and ambience onboard THAI’s A380s combine rich vibrant colours with traditional design element. The overall atmosphere is chic and sophisticated, with variable cabin ‘mood’ lighting simulating different times of day.
Up to 24 cabin attendants are present on each flight to maintain THAI’s highest standards of inflight service. This is supported, particularly, by the provision of seven galleys and food service stations, more than is offered on this aircraft by any other airline
