Kakadu National Park Explorer
Full Day including Lunch
Price from £117 per person
Depart Darwin and travel east with AATKings into World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park, with a breakfast stop enroute (own expense). Covering some 20,000 square kilometres, Kakadu is Australia's largest national park. Its vast wetlands and ancient escarpment are home to one of Australia's largest and most diverse bird populations and carry outstanding natural and cultural significance. Visit rock art sites at Nourlangie Rock - the name ‘Nourlangie’ is an anglicised version of Nawurlandja. Enjoy lunch at Cooinda before boarding the Yellow Water billabong cruise to view the myriad of birdlife and keep an eye out for crocodiles. Late in the afternoon reboard your coach and commence the return journey to Darwin with a visit along the way to Warradjan Aboriginal Culture Centre where the traditional Aboriginal land owners (Bininj) of Kakadu National Park tell stories of their culture through the displays and exhibitions.
