Rarotonga is the largest of the 15 islands and home to the nation’s capital, Avarua and the international airport. A round island, just 32kms in circumference, Rarotonga is dominated by high mountain peaks from which lush rainforests cascade to a palm-fringed shore, which is almost completely surrounded by a coral reef, which harbours a lagoon of clear turquoise water and many inviting white, sandy beaches.
Aitutaki, the most magical of the outer islands, is a stunningly beautiful atoll with a spectacular lagoon. It is located 259kms north of Rarotonga and is easily accessible by a 50-minute flight.
There are few untouched places left in the world like Atiu, the third largest island in the Cooks. It is one big adventure playground, ancient and unspoiled, rich in culture and history, and an eco-lover’s paradise reached by a 45-minute flight from Rarotonga and Aitutaki.

The Beachfront Villas are ideal for couples simply wanting to experience privacy and luxury at its best. They are very spacious with a large lounge, entertainment centre, full kitchen, and dining for four adults. The elegant main bedroom has a two-post Super-King bed, and there is a large outdoor deck with sun-loungers and a dining suite where you can enjoy breath-taking ocean and sunset views.

Two Bedroom Garden Villas
These modern and spacious villas are ideal for families with children aged over 16 years, or friends seeking an exclusive getaway. Located around the pool, they feature two King bedrooms, a large bathroom with twin basins and showers, a laundry, a large lounge with entertainment centre, full kitchen with a dining suite for four adults and enjoy a large furnished outdoor deck.

Two-Bedroom Beachfront Pool Villa
From the doorstep, these Beachfront Villas have a perfect view of the white sand and turquoise lagoon. Moana Sands Lagoon Resort, Rarotonga
Situated on the famous Muri beach overlooking Rarotonga’s pristine lagoon, this modern ‘adults only’ (18+) resort opened in 2018. These rooms are located on the ground and first floor of this two-storey complex, near reception and the restaurant. All rooms face out onto gardens and the pool area, and are tastefully decorated with a modern Polynesian flare. Premium Three-Bedroom Beachfront Villa
The Premium Beachfront Villa is the resort’s premiere accommodation option. It offers a great home-away-from-home for families or couples travelling together. The Villa is spaciously appointed, on two levels and has a great beachfront location, a private courtyard, two bathrooms, a lounge, a fully equipped kitchen, including a Nespresso machine, a bar and laundry facilities, all finished to a high standard with a Polynesian twist. In-room facilities include air-conditioning, ceiling fans, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, USB charging ports, and a room safe.

Etu Moana Beach Villas, Aitutaki
Spread over 1.5 acres, this adults-only resort (16+ years) enjoys a fantastic westerly beach location, perfect for a romantic getaway. Each villa is self-contained with a well-equipped kitchenette, Tasmanian oak floors, teak furniture, local art, air-conditioning, a large covered verandah to watch the island’s legendary sunsets, King bed and marble tiled en-suite leading out to a private courtyard with a garden shower.
Airport transfers and tropical breakfast is included plus the use of kayaks, snorkel equipment, swimming pool and bicycles.

Garden, Lagoon, Beachfront or Absolute Beachfront Villas
Wake up and enjoy the view of the lush tropical greenery extend to the blue ocean with rolling waves on the reef. The Beach View and Beachfront Villas have the same facilities, but are located near or on the beach.

Pacific Resort Aitutaki
Pacific Resort Aitutaki is an international, award-winning, luxury and boutique resort nestled on an exclusive white sand beach on the western coast of Aitutaki. Located only ten minutes from the Airport, five minutes to Arutanga township and inches away from the lagoon, the resort has all the facilities one expects of a luxury resort. It is also an established member of the ‘Small Luxury Hotels of the World’ collection.
Boutique in size, the resort has only 29 individual beachfront bungalows and villas, retaining its intimate and romantic feel. Each bungalow and villa is situated amongst lush tropical gardens of native ferns and flowers and overlook the stunning turquoise lagoon. They have air-conditioning, ceiling fans, flat screen TVs, luxury en-suite bathrooms, premium bedding along with the necessities including tea and coffee-making facilities, WiFi, a minibar fridge and a covered sundeck with outdoor furniture.
There are two restaurants situated on site. ‘Rapae Bay’ is well known for its Pacific Rim Cuisine and panoramic views of the pool, lagoon and beyond while ‘Black Rock’ is a casual eatery offering an all-day snack menu, outdoor dining, and full bar services. Spend your days lounging by the pool or on the beach, visit the Tiare Spa or explore the lagoon by kayak or paddle-board.
Return airport transfers and fully cooked à la carte breakfast are included, plus the use of kayaks, bicycles, paddle-boards, beach towels and sun-loungers.

Premium Beachfront Bungalow
Situated directly on the white-sand beach framing Aitutaki’s luminescent lagoon, these 62m2 bungalows face the lagoon with day-bed, table and chairs and beachside shower. They offer a choice of King or Twin beds and are equipped with Nespresso machines.

Premium Beachfront Bungalow Plus
The Premium Beachfront Bungalow Plus are 78m2 and feature a main bedroom with a Super-King bed and a separate room with two Single beds, making it an ideal option for luxury family escapes. Other features are the same as the Premium Beachfront Bungalow.

Ultimate Beachfront Bungalow
Featuring impeccable design with generous dimensions at 88m2, the Ultimate Beachfront Bungalows are perfect for couples looking for an intimate setting, complete with exquisite beach views. Each bungalow receives 5-star service, ultra-luxurious amenities and is equipped with a Super-King bed, a beachside shower, indoor and outdoor day-beds, indoor garden-view shower and private garden courtyard with open-air shower.

Ultimate Beachfront Villa
These sophisticated standalone villas are 125m2 and each features a sensational private double sun- deck complete with outdoor furniture, a beachside shower, a spacious bedroom and living area, air-conditioning, a Super-King bed, a luxury bathroom and an indoor shower with views into the courtyard with its outside shower.

Atiu Villas
Situated on Atiu Island on the outskirts of the central villages, Atiu Villas is surrounded by extensive tropical gardens, pineapple fields and a view down a jungle-clad valley to the ocean. It is only a short walk to the white sandy beaches of the southern coastline.
The chalet-style villas are made almost entirely of polished native timbers from tropical trees including mango, coconut, red peanut, acacia, cedar, Java plum, together with other local materials. Each villa has a private verandah, cooking facilities, a separate bathroom, tea and coffee-making facilities and a feature not often seen elsewhere, a larder fully-stocked larder with dairy food, beverages, packaged and tinned food which guests can use and pay for on departure. The villas have varying bedding configurations and can cater for singles, couples, families up to a maximum of six people.
There is plenty of water and each villa has a solar hot-water supply. Electricity, WiFi internet and water run 24-hours a day. An evening restaurant and bar is on site serving two-course evening meals. There is a swimming-pool, tennis court and rental bicycles, motorcycles and a car.

Standard Villas
All Villas have a spacious deck of polished timber and are equipped with showers, fans, radios, full kitchens, larders, minibars, and fridges. They are configured with a Double, Queen or King beds and a Single bed with room for more quests in the loft.

Storytellers Eco Cycle Tour, Rarotonga
Storytellers is a great family-friendly tour offering an unforgettable bike-riding experience through lanes and tracks showing the history and heritage of this beautiful island nation. Visit the many historical sites and drive past plantations hearing stories about the Cook Islands’ history and culture, including how the connection with the heritage underpins a deeper love and respect of the land’s natural environment, inherent within the DNA of the Cook Islands people. At the end of the tour, you are rewarded with a delicious local lunch and an option to cool down with a swim at a beautiful, secluded beach.
There are three different tours to choose from that will best suit your comfort zone. The Discover tour is perfect for families and includes a nice lunch, and both the Explore and Excite tours include one-hour sunset cocktails.

Highland Paradise – Ka’ara Island Night, Rarotonga
Set on a hilltop ridge in the village of Arorangi, sits part of a 600-year-old village site, that once was home to the tribe of the High Chief, Tinomana Ariki, but was abandoned in the early 1800s after the arrival, and acceptance of Christianity. To date, around 25 acres of the ancient village has been discovered and developed to share with visitors. Highland Paradise, also known by the locals as ‘the lost village’, is locally owned and operated by the descendants of those who once lived there. They look forward to welcoming you and taking you on a journey back in time to experience what the life of their ancestors was like.
The multi award-winning ‘Ka’ara Island Night’ offers an opportunity to experience and learn about the traditional, and spiritual past and present, through village cultural immersion, marae (sacred site) visits, a tapu lifting, and a warrior welcoming into the dining-hall. Then, as the sun begins to set, and you take your seat at the dinner table, you’ll be welcomed by your host and master of ceremonies for the evening, who will bless the food with a short prayer, before you enjoy the many local delicacies prepared for you in a traditional underground oven (umu). During your meal, you will be entertained by the E Matike dance group in their traditional costumes, who will perform many song and dance routines composed around the unique culture, history and legends of the village. All the dancers, musicians, chefs, barmen and guides are descendants of the village High Chief Tinomana Ariki and are proud to be a part of the extended family which brings this mountain village back to life.

4WD Safari Tour, Rarotonga
This is a must-do tour recommended at the beginning of your stay on Rarotonga, a great way to really get a feel for the island. An experienced guide will take you on an exciting half-day adventure where you will discover the lush tropical interior of the island. You’ll visit some of the islands more remote places, including the green valleys of Avatiu close to the centre of the island. Along the way, you will see taro plantations – the taro plant is an important food crop throughout the Pacific. You’ll learn of its history and how it came to the Cook Islands. You’ll also learn about traditional land laws that govern the use of land, and how it is passed on from generation to generation.
The tour also takes you to some of the heights of Rarotonga’s more accessible mountains offering spectacular views of the coastline and lagoon. Throughout the tour, your tour guide will offer commentary on the history and traditions of the island, as well as notes on the many uses of the local flora and fauna in traditional medicine-making. You’ll visit an ancient marae, where the ancestors performed human sacrifices, investitures of chiefs and important meetings.

Lagoon Cruise, Aitutaki
A lagoon cruise is one of the best ways to experience the beautiful lagoon of Aitutaki that measures about 19km wide and 18km long. It is fringed by tiny islets known locally as Motus with the main island of Aitutaki bordering its northern reef.
Your cruise includes a visit to Motu Akaiami— where back in the 1950s, it was a depot for the Coral Route, one of the most famous routes flown by TEALs flying boats. Then visit the volcanic island of Moturakau, joining the captain as he hand-feeds schools of Banded Damsels and Butterfly fish. See Giant Clams and plenty of Giant Trevallys. Your last stop for the day is the beautiful One Foot Island, where you will be served a picnic lunch consisting of fresh barbecued fish, and salads made from locally-grown fruit and vegetables. All this is complemented with the great entertainment by the crew on board. From One Foot Island you can send a postcard from the world’s only registered post office located on an uninhabited island or, have your passport stamped with a One Foot Island stamp as a souvenir of your unforgettable Aitutaki experience.

Punarea Cultural Tour, Atiu
You haven’t visited Atiu until you’ve visited Punarea! You will embark on a truly unique Atiuan experience, exploring the local island culture passed down through generations. Enjoy the myths and legends of Atiu shared with you by your tour guide, and engage in different activities such as natural candle collecting, traditional food and tapa cloth making. Some of these activities are conducted on the Punarea cultural site.

Eco-Adventure Anatakitaki Cave Tour, Atiu
The Anatakitaki Caves are home to the Kopeka birds which are unique to Atiu. These swift-like birds navigate in the dark by using an echolocating series of clicks, and nest deep within the magnificent, towering limestone caverns, with their huge stalactites reaching the cavern floor, and massive stalagmites that sparkle in the light and attract film-crews from around the world.
On the tour, you’ll enjoy a challenging walk through the untouched tropical rainforest with your experienced guide, who will provide a brief description of indigenous plants, their traditional medicinal uses, the culture and history, and talk to you about the flora and fauna found in the makatea (raised coral) surroundings.
